Naveen Chandra is an Indian actor who predominantly acts in Telugu films. He starred in the Telugu romance film Andala Rakshasi and won critical acclaim for his performance, before playing leading roles in Tamil films
Naveen Chandra is an Indian actor who has worked in both Telugu and Tamil films. He was born in Devi Nagar, Bellary, to a Telugu family, with his father serving as a head mechanic for KSRTC. Chandra received a diploma in Mechanical Engineering and worked as a multimedia animator before starting his acting career.
Chandra made his acting debut in 2006 with the Telugu film Sambhavami Yuge Yuge, credited as Anji. He then acted in the film Kalyanam, credited as Chandu. In 2007, he made his Tamil film debut with Pazhaniappa Kalloori, credited as Pradeep.
In 2012, Chandra received critical acclaim for his performance in the Telugu romance film Andala Rakshasi. He played the role of Surya, and the film garnered positive responses from viewers and critics alike. The same year, he also shot for the Tamil film Therodum Veedhiyile with Payal Ghosh.
In 2013, Chandra appeared in the bilingual film Dalam, in which he played an ex-naxalite struggling to return to normal life. He also appeared in the Tamil film Bramman in 2014, and in the Telugu films Naa Rakumarudu and Bham Bolenath that same year.
In 2015, Chandra appeared in the Tamil film Sivappu, in which he lived incognito as a labourer in his friend's construction company for two weeks in order to get into character. He also appeared in the Telugu film Tripura that year. In 2016, he appeared in the Telugu films Lacchimdeviki O Lekkundi and Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu.
Chandra has continued to act in a variety of films in both Telugu and Tamil, including the Telugu films Nenu Local, Juliet Lover of Idiot, Devadas, and Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava, and the Tamil film Pattas. In 2020, he appeared in the Telugu film Miss India, which was released on Netflix, and in the Tamil film Bhanumathi & Ramakrishna.
Chandra has also appeared in a number of television shows, including the Telugu show Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu. He has a number of upcoming projects, including the Telugu films Super Over, Mosagallu, Ardha Shathabdham, Mission 2020, and #Bro, as well as the Tamil film Ghani and the Telugu films Virata Parvam, Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga, Ammu, and Repeat.
